Welcome Back!
In 2023, we made employees’ days a little brighter by having healthy snacks, fruit, and the occasional breakfast event in the office. We also provided the opportunity for them to take part in our group exercise classes and sports and recreation activities. Throughout the year, Railinc held events to encourage employees to sit back and relax or show off their competitive side.
It is great to get out there with coworkers.

2023 Events and Activities
Summer Event
For our mid-year event, we hosted employees at Drive Shack for an afternoon of golfing, team bonding, and sunshine.
Railinc Volleyball Tournament
We held a volleyball tournament in September (and a follow-up in November) at North Cary Park.
Railinc Classic 5K
For our 10th annual Railinc Classic 5K in October, more than 80 employees participated in on-site and remote races, traveling a combined distance of more than 2,120 American football fields.
Halloween
We invited employees’ families to Railinc for trick-or-treating.
Holiday Party
At our annual holiday party in December, employees had one last chance to celebrate 2023 with each other and take home some amazing prizes.
Railinc Gives Back
In 2023, Railinc employees came together to support the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina through our expanded volunteering and donation events:
- A summer food drive held in the office
- A volunteer event at the food bank to culminate the food drive
- The record-breaking annual Yam Jam with more than 20,000 pounds of sweet potatoes sorted
- Our Giving Tuesday event on November 28
- A final office food drive before the holidays
- Our annual donation of $10,000 to the food bank, plus a $5,000 donation from the Railinc Board of Directors

Thanks to the generosity of our team members, more than 200,000 meals were provided to families and individuals in need around North Carolina.
2023 Railinc Wellness and Other Events
We also partnered with several vendors to host wellness events: a blood donation drive with the Red Cross; on-site physicals with Goshen Medical; and both a flu shot clinic and COVID-19 booster clinic, all of which were at capacity. Railinc also held the first wellness fair in several years, bringing in several of our benefits partners for an informational event for employees.
From our first in-person all-employee meeting since 2020, to our summer event at Drive Shack, to our annual holiday party, we had a blast in 2023 celebrating each one of our amazing employees.
