Railinc Corp. announced today that Dave Ebbrecht, executive vice president operations of Kansas City Southern (KCS) and its U.S. subsidiaries, was recently elected to the company’s board of directors.
“Dave is a well-respected railroad executive who has made significant contributions to the freight rail industry,” said Allen West, Railinc president and CEO. “He brings a wealth of rail operations expertise to the board that will be invaluable as we continue to improve Railinc’s service to our freight rail customers.”
“Railinc plays a critical role in making railroads a more effective, more efficient and a safer mode of freight transportation,” said Dave Ebbrecht. “I’m looking forward to working with the board to continue their legacy of value creation and find new ways to serve the freight rail industry.”
Ebbrecht has 23 years of transportation industry experience. He joined KCS in 2001 and has held positions in strategic planning, materials logistics, business development, transportation management and network operations. He has also held transportation positions with CSX and the U.S. Army.
Ebbrecht serves various Association of American Railroad committees, including the board of directors for the Transportation Technology Center Inc. in Pueblo, Colo., and the executive committee for Safety and Operations Management. He also chairs the Railinc Project Support Working Committee.
Ebbrecht holds an MBA from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and a bachelor’s degree from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.
