Company and Departmental Training
Employees have access to training programs to learn the newest technologies and maintain applicable certifications. Informal mentoring programs are available to boost employee knowledge and productivity, and many employees have used this type of training to move into new positions. At regular employee meetings, Railinc senior management communicates key information, answers questions and provides insight into future plans.
Industry Training
Railinc encourages its employees to learn about the North American rail industry. All new employees participate in the company's "Railroad Fundamentals" course to learn all things railroad. Employees visit major U.S. railroads and are provided access to rail operations. In addition, Railinc will pay for employees to participate in related professional organizations and educational conferences.
Career Path Initiative
The Career Path Initiative is a comprehensive program that aids in employees' professional development at Railinc. With the support of their managers, employees design their own personal action plan that identifies short and long-term career goals. The initiative is designed to empower employees with the responsibility to chart their own road maps for success and their career paths.
Tuition Reimbursement Program
Railinc provides a generous tuition reimbursement program. Reimbursable items include tuition, books and lab fees.
